The former teammates with the 2008-08 Eastern Ontario AAA Minor Midget Wild are both vying for a spot on the team that will defend its title at the U-17 world championships starting December 29 2009 in Timmins, Ontario.
Ming and Tansey will find out if they made the cut when the team is announced on November 15. Both players were selected in the OHL draft in May, but expect to play the CJHL next year – Ming with the Cornwall Colts, and Tansey with the Cumberland Grads.
