Wild players selected in OHL draft

Forward Eric Ming and defenceman Kevin Tansey were selected in the OHL draft on May 2.

Two players from the Minor Midget Eastern Ontario Wild AAA were selected in the Ontario Hockey League draft on May 2nd.

Forward Eric Ming was selected by the Kitchener Rangers in the 7th round, while defenceman Kevin Tansey was chosen by the Plymouth Whalers in the 8th round. Ming finished tied for 7th spot in league scoring during the regular season with 12 goals and 23 points in 28 games, while Tansey chipped in 15 points in 26 games from the blue line.

Both players saw action in the CJHL Junior A league as affiliate players, and both were invited to compete for the Ontario Under-17 provincial team in June.
