Coaches confirmed for the 2019-2020 season

2019-03-24

The Eastern Ontario Wild AAA are pleased to announce the Head Coaches for the upcoming 2019-2020 season.

Major Peewee – Chris Martin
Experience comes in many forms. As a player, head coach and scout, I have been involved in hockey for a very long time. Scouting at both the OHL and NHL level, coaching at the Jr. A level with three different organizations and most recently spent the last six years at the "AAA" level, has taught me that attention to detail is what differentiates Good Players from Great Players. With that philosophy in mind, I pride myself in teaching young hockey players the finer details of the game. These details will make them a better hockey player and prepare them for the journey ahead. No matter the position, my responsibility is to show each player how the game is thought and played in all three zones. I am proud to continually work with one of the most successful and best run organizations in the U18 and CCHL as a Scout. As your Wild AAA coach, I will be committed to both working and teaching your young athletes and preparing them for hockey at the next levels.

Minor Bantam – Carl Robillard
First and foremost, Coach Carl is a proud father of 2 beautiful children (Bryelle 20 and Jakob 16) and a loving husband to Michelle Brasseur-Robillard. He has been coaching Tier 1 hockey for over a decade now, including time with the Gloucester Rangers/Rockland Nats U18, the Hawkesbury Hawks U18, the Eastern Ontario Wild AAA and the UCC Cyclones AAA. His coaching philosophy is simple. He surrounds everything he does around 3 basic principles. TEAM FIRST, HARD WORK and DISCIPLINE. To achieve these principles, the coaching staff must build an environment that encourages players to learn and develop on/off the ice while creating a positive learning environment in both good and bad times. All players need to be given an opportunity to develop their skills in a structured and disciplined learning environment that constantly always challenges them while providing encouragement and support. Expectations for both the players and the coaches are identified and agreed upon early in the season so there are no misunderstandings and/or confusion along the way. He believes that, when dealing with highly motivated and committed players, strong communication skills in both a group and/or individual settings are the cornerstone of a coach’s responsibility.

Major Bantam - Jordan Johnson
Jordan is returning for his third season with the Wild organization. He is coaching his 10th consecutive season at the AAA level and believes in establishing a good work ethic, discipline both on and off the ice as well as provide a hockey program where the players look forward to coming to the rink every day with an eagerness to learn and work hard for a common goal. His program will help develop young adults, good sportsmen, and teammates who will respect the rules of the game and ultimately become more skilled, and knowledgeable hockey players. Jordan provides a competitive atmosphere with a team-first approach where players will develop their skills through hard work, dedication, and perseverance.
