Five players from the Eastern Ontario Wild AAA Minor Midget team were selected in the 2010 OHL draft.

Centre Curtis Meighan was the top selection, going in the fourth round to the Kitchener Rangers.  Captain Connor Primeau was chosen by the Sarnia Sting in the 9th round.  The Sting also selected forward Alex Gendron, the Wild's regular season scoring leader with 42 points in 28 games, in the 13th round.  The 13th round was also lucky for defenceman Ryan McCaughan, who was chosen by the Ottawa 67s.  The 67s also picked defenceman Nathaniel Quinn in the 15th round.

Having five players selected is a high-water mark for the Wild, who had two players selected in the OHL draft in 2008 and 2009.  But coach Rick Legault isn't surprised, because the 94s are a talented group.  "They never stopped from day one.  In the room, it was always about hockey.  If I owned an OHL team I would have drafted all of them," he said.

The five Wild players were among 24 players selected from OEMHL teams in the draft.  The Ottawa 67s led the way with 11 players selected, while the Ottawa Valley Titans has 7 players chosen.  One player was selected from the Upper Canada Cyclones.
