Tansey commits to Clarkson University

Kevin Tansey, who played for the Eastern Ontario Wild in 2007-09, has committed to Clarkson University on a hockey scholarship.

The Hammond resident played with the Cumberland Grads in the CJHL in 2009-10.  He was selected by the Plymouth Whalers in the 2009 Ontario Hockey League draft.  He will play one or two more seasons in the CJHL before joining the Golden Knights. Tansey played IP and Novice in the Township of Clarence Minor Hockey Association, and spent five years with the AA Eastern Ontario Cobras before joining the Wild when AAA hockey was introduced in the Ottawa area in 2007.
