Minor Bantams Regular Season Champions

The Wild’s Minor Bantam Team added a further accomplishment to their amazing 2010/11 hockey season as they were recently crowned the “2010/11 OEMHL-AAA Regular Season Champions”.

 The Wild completed their regular season on Sunday February 13, 2011, against the Ottawa 67s, being played at Carleton University.  Facing a 5-2 deficit going into the 3^rd period, the Wild came out with heart and determination to score 4 unanswered goals to celebrate a 6-5 come from behind victory.  The win extended the Teams’ undefeated regular season streak to 18 games (16-0-2).

The players are truly amazed at their overall success in their inaugural AAA season, which consists of the following:

·         Finalists - Ottawa Senators AAA Shootout

·         Champions – Markham Majors AAA Tournament

·         Champions – Peterborough Petes AAA Tournament

·         Semi-Finalists – Kitchener Blueline AAA Tournament

·         Semi-Finalists – Oshawa Spirit AAA Tournament

·         Champions - EOMHL AAA Regular Season

In upcoming playoff semi-final action the Wild will face-off against the 4^th place 67s.  If Sunday’s game is any indication of what to expect, the scene is definitely set for a very exciting, entertaining and competitive series.
