The process to pick Ontario's representatives for the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge is underway and the Wild will see 2 of it's players moving on to the final selection camp in july.

46 area hopefuls born in 1995 were invited to the ODHA U17 Selection Camp held at Carleton University April 8-10. The Wild were well represented as Max St. Georges, Matthew Crnjac, Remi Elie, Mark Golberg, Zach Car, Matthew Morin, Jean-Luc Theoret, James Edwardson and Cullen Vanstrien took part in an intense 3 day camp with the hopes of being selected to move on the final Team Ontario camp in Thunder Bay later this summer.

All Wild players showed well in the 3 games played over the weekend and 2 did enough to catch the eye of evaluators and make the cut for July. Elie and Golberg, team mates and line mates on Rick Legault's Minor Midget team took up where they left off after posting impressive statistics and catching the eye of Junior scouts this past season. The pair will now get to see how they stack up against the province's best 16 year-old hockey players who will be vying to represent Ontario, the defending gold medalists in this international event.
