A Warning About Spring/Summer Hockey and the Wild

While the Wild has no issue with Spring/Summer hockey programs or organizations,  we do not endorse any programs specifically, nor do we require potential players to participate in such programs as a prerequisite to playing for the Wild.

The Wild position is as follows:

1. The Wild DOES NOT operate or endorse any Spring/Summer teams or programs;
2. Participation in a Spring/Summer hockey team or program will have NO BEARING on a player's chances of being selected for a Wild team. This applies to all teams/programs - whether they are run by or affiliated with a current or former Wild Coach or not, ;
3. There are NO selection committees currently under mandate for Wild tryouts and there are NO Assistant Coaches or staff members currently approved for the 2011-2012 season.

The ONLY authorities for all Wild teams are the current Head Coaches as noted here:

• Minor Bantam - Mathieu Bougie
• Major Bantam - Steve Malette
• Minor Midget - Rick Legault
• Major Midget - Chris Martin

If you hear of anyone or have knowledge of anyone making unfounded threats, claims or allegations, please contact the President of the Wild immediately.

The Wild board will vigorously investigate and pursue any and all potential misrepresentations of the Wild AAA name and that of their Coaches and we have already initiated discussion on the matter with representatives of the ODMHA.
