Wild alumni invited to Maple Leafs rookie camp
Kevin Tansey, who played three years with the Eastern Ontario Wild, is skating at the Maple Leafs rookie camp this week in Toronto. The big defenceman was invited to the camp last week following the NHL entry draft.
Tansey played with the Wild from 2007-2010. He was selected by the Plymouth Whalers in the 2009 OHL draft. He was also drafted by the Cumberland Grads in the CCHL, where he has played for the last two seasons.
The all-star defenseman will continue his hockey career in the NCAA next year. He has accepted a hockey scholarship at Clarkson University in Postsdam NY, and will join the Golden Knights in September 2011.
