Congratulations Steven Malette

Steven Malette, CGA, CIRP, CFE, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Ottawa, Ontario, [613-755-5979] has been volunteering an enormous amount of his time as a minor hockey coach in the Nation’s Capital since 2003 and is currently coaching at the AAA level with the Eastern Ontario Wild Hockey Association. For the past six years, in addition to volunteering time during the winter season, he also organizes and operates a spring/summer non-profit hockey skating camp for local children. Therefore, a lot of his summer holidays are scheduled to coordinate being on the ice. Steven has received the PwC Ottawa Office Volunteer Recognition Award on two separate occasions.

This award acknowledges PwC staff who demonstrated extraordinary volunteer efforts. And as a result, two local minor hockey associations, in which Steven has been a coach, each received a $1,000 donation from PwC. As a volunteer coach, Steven realized that he is not only committed to his own sons, but to all of the children on the team and acknowledges that PwC’s support in giving back to the community has been instrumental in his ability to continue to be involved.
