Congratulation to the Minor Midgets

Our Eastern Ontario Wild, Minor Midgets are this year’s Oshawa Kinsmen Cup Tournament Champions. Over the weekend of October 19-21, with a record of
3-0-1 in the round robin the Wild defeated; Oshawa Minor Generals, Burlington Eagles, West Seneca Wings and tied the Markham Waxers on route to the championship finals with a victory over the Oshawa Minor Generals 6-1and defeating the Ajax Pickering Raiders 3-2 in the championship game. Just to add to the excitement of a great weekend, in the dying minutes the Wild were forced to hold off an Ajax five on three.
Special honor’s and congratulation go out to; Martin Frechette, selected for the Regan Kerr Memorial Award, dedication, commitment, Most Outstanding Player Award as a forward, and Jeremy McFarlane as the Round Robin Scoring Leader. Congratulations to all players and coaches with a tip of the hat to the avid team fans and supporters.
