A total of seven Wild players from last season’s Minor Midget team were part of the OEMHL team that won the U-16 OHL Gold Cup last weekend in Kitchener. The 20 player roster was made up of the best players chosen from the EOMHL league. There were a total of 160 players on 8 teams from around the Province competing for the Cup, and also a chance to move on to the final camp this coming August to be held in Oshawa where they will invite the top 60 selected from last weekend’s games. During that August weekend they will be making the final selections for Team Ontario U-16 who will then play against the other Canadian Provinces. Wild players that made the EOMHL team are ; L-R – Martin Frechette, Simon Besner, Nick Hamre, Ethan Wensink, Zach Salloum, Liam Murray, Jeremy McFarlane.
